Recognition success

The Unite general union has won recognition at the Eddie Stobart transport group.

The union now has the right to represent “all hourly paid warehouse operatives excluding supervisors/management working on the Johnson and Johnson contract,” working at the Daresbury warehouse.

Out of 85 workers eligible to vote, 57 ballot papers were returned. Forty six workers, or 80.7% of those voting, voted for recognition. The number of votes supporting the proposal as a percentage of the bargaining unit was 54.1%.
