2010 and now

Official figures show that in April 2010, the month before the last general election, average weekly earnings were £448 and by February 2015 had risen to £485 — a increase of 8.3%.

In the same period, inflation under the Retail Prices Index rose by 15.2%, leaving the average worker over £30 a week worse off (ignoring changes in taxation).
