Free online advice offered to those facing redundancy

With the National Institute of Economic and Social Research forecasting that up to one in 10 UK workers may face unemployment by the end of this year, the TUC is launching online advice to help workers deal with Covid’s effects on employment.

It begins this month with free expert advice webinars on redundancy rights, available at https://workingthroughthecrisis.org.uk.

The TUC says that those in unionised workplaces have the advantage of dedicated people and processes in place to ensure the best outcomes in the worst situations, but for workers who aren’t union members, the world of employment rights can be a confusing one. And with a crisis in employment looming, it’s vital that more people are aware of their rights and their options. The new series of advice webinars is its answer to this need.
