Union votes

Turnout among union members in June's Labour Party deputy leadership elections was just 8%, according to a report in The Guardian newspaper. This compared with 53% of individual Labour members and was less than half that for the last leadership election. The report also noted that the voting among union members was largely in accordance with their unions' recommendations.
