Shelter strike

Members of the Unite general union working for national housing charity Shelter were set to resume industrial action as Labour Research went to press. The workers had previously suspended the third in a series of strikes over pay and grading to ballot on an offer following talks at the Acas conciliation service (see Labour Research April 2008). Two days of strike action were due to take place on Thursday and Friday 24 and 25 April.
