Management lacks diversity

The BITC Business in the Community organisation — a business group promoting a more socially-responsible approach — has launched a report showing there has been virtually no ethnicity change in top management positions since 2007.

Race at the top shows that while one in 10 employed people in the UK are from BME backgrounds, only one in 16 of top management positions are held by BME people.

BITC is calling for a government review on racial barriers in the workplace and for employers to do more to attract and retain BME workers and ensure equal progression.
