Inflation falls again

Retail price inflation fell for the third month. In March, the annual rate of inflation under the Retail Prices Index (RPI) was down to 3.3% from 3.6% the previous month. 


Inflation under the Consumer Prices Index Housing (CPIH) — now the preferred official measure — was down to 2.3% from 2.5%. 


The Consumer Prices Index (CPI), which is still used by the government for uprating various benefits, fell to 2.5% from 2.7%.
