Leadership election

Gerard Coyne, a losing candidate in the 2017 leadership election in general union Unite, has lost for the second time his complaint that the election should never have been called.

His claim was first dismissed in May, and in June the Employment Appeal Tribunal dismissed his appeal. Another nine complaints were due to be heard as Labour Research went to press.
