Beauty industry 


Beauty workers pay a high price with their health and safety, according to a European Trade Union Institute report on the beauty industry. All that glitters is not gold says the workers, mostly women, are rarely thought of as facing health and safety risks. Yet many suffer with musculoskeletal and skin problems and are exposed to hazardous chemicals. 


It also looks at the union fight to turn a European framework agreement covering health and safety in the hairdressing industry into a directive.
