Italian minimum wage

Italy’s prime minister Giuseppe Conte has said that a minimum wage is “in the government programme” for 2020, along with measures to strengthen collective bargaining.

The introduction of a €9.00 an hour minimum wage was part of the electoral platform of the Five Star Movement which, following the emergence of a new coalition, remains part of the Italian government.
