Masks continue to be worn in ETs

Following the relaxation of Covid mitigations in England from 19 July 2021, the President of Employment Tribunals in England and Wales has said that the current requirement to wear face coverings in public areas of courts and tribunal centres in England and Wales will continue.

This means employment judges and non-legal members will continue to strongly encourage everyone in the hearing room to wear face coverings, except for the judge/member or a person who is directly addressing the tribunal.

Virtual hearings will also continue on the Cloud Video Platform (CVP) alongside in-person hearings. Claims can be directed to the “virtual region” from any other region.
