Asbestos victims demand justice

As a High Court case got underway asbestos campaigners have told insurers and asbestos giant Turner and Newall (T&N) to stop wrangling and start paying compensation. Insurers Royal and Sun Alliance and Lloyds are arguing that employers' liability insurance for T&N excluded asbestos diseases. The Court case on the issue began on 23 January and will affect some 700 claimants seeking compensation. Asbestos victims, their families and support groups organised protests to highlight their plight.
