Employers carry out more equality audits

Increasing numbers of employers are starting to carry out regular audits to ensure equal pay, says a report Gender equality in the workplace by Opportunity Now. The report says that while only 27% of 226 large employers regularly carried out effective pay audits, 41% said they had either just introduced a system of audits or were developing work in this area.

The report also found that 78% of employers have specific schemes to enable flexible working and 61% take action to ensure that flexible working is accepted and valued across the organisation.
