Guidance on bullying and harassment

Bullying and harassment at work is becoming an increasingly prominent issue for trade unions, and this new booklet from the Labour Research Department (LRD) gives detailed guidance on how to tackle this problem.

The booklet looks at the issue from two angles - the equality perspective of preventing discrimination at work and the health and safety perspective of tackling one of the major causes of stress in the workplace.

The booklet includes guidance on negotiating a policy and the procedures to follow. It also provides examples of union initiatives and explains the relevant law with case studies.

Bullying and harassment at work - a trade unionist's guide is available from Labour Research Department, 78 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8HF price £3.50, or £10.00 for employers or commercial organisations.
