Research confirms display screen risk

New research for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has confirmed the risks associated with working with display screen equipment such as computer monitors.

A study by the Institute of Occupational Medicine found that 73% of all respondents reported one or more musculoskeletal symptoms such as back pain, and over half of all respondents reported symptoms affecting the head and/or eyes. These symptoms were more common among those who spent more time working on computers or who worked for more than one hour without a break.
