5% for Stena Line

RMT rail and maritime union dock and onboard ship workers at Stena Line ferries agreed a pay deal of 5% in November. In addition, dockers and crew, who work “two weeks on, two weeks off” rotas, will receive an additional 15% of pay for returning to work during their leave periods, and a 50% enhancement for staying on board ship as overtime pay.

“It’s the best offer for ratings in the entire British industry,” according to an RMT spokesperson. “Stena is going through a major reorganisation of every single operation including redundancies so they may have used this as a sweetener, but it is an excellent offer.”
