Italian banking concord

The Italian banking association ABI and the unions have formally signed the agreement for the sector which was agreed in principle last March. The text had to be amended to take account of new legislation, the “Jobs Act”, passed last year.

Unions were initially concerned that the employers would use the opportunity to make more fundamental changes to the deal. However, they were successfully able to resist them. The final agreement is essentially unchanged from the initial deal.
