IT agreement in Austria

The 50,000 or so employees in the Austrian IT industry can look forward to above-inflation increases next year after the GPA-djp union reached a pay agreement after only two rounds of negotiation.

The settlement, which runs for 12 months from 1 January 2017, provides for a 1.25% increase in existing pay rates and allowances and a 1.3% increase in basic pay. This is slightly above the current inflation rate of 0.9% (September).
