Danish finance sector signs three-year deal

Following the settlement reported last month in Danish industry, unions and employers in the finance sector have reached agreement for the 43,000 employees in the sector.

The deal which runs for three years from 1 April 2017 until 31 March 2020 increases pay by a total of 5.85% over the period.

With inflation in Denmark currently 1.0% (February) this will produce real pay growth this year at least and Kent Petersen, chair of the Finansforbundet union, drew attention to what he called a “sizeable pay increase”.
