Launch of new learning provider in Wales

A new voluntary organisation, which will be the largest provider of adult learning in Wales, was launched at the end of April.

Adult Learning Wales/ Addysg Oedolion Cymru is the result of mergers between the Workers’ Educational Association in Wales, Coleg Harlech, and YMCA Wales Community College.

Acting chief executive Kathryn Robson said the new organisation “provides courses for over 18,000 people on a part-time basis in the community or through the workplace, in partnership with voluntary organisations, trades unions and employers”.
