It’s 3.0% once again


Settlements hit the 3.0% level for the third month in a row, LRD Payline data shows.


In February, the three-monthly median rise on lowest basic rates for the whole economy was once again 3.0%. The standard increase for February — the rise received by most grades — was also 3.0%.


There’s a longer publishing lag for official earnings data. In January, the three-monthly headline rate for the whole economy was up to 2.6% from 2.5% in December. The construction sector showed strong wage growth, with a 3.5% headline rate rise, against 2.9% the previous month.
