Council charter with Unite over building schemes


Bristol City Council has committed to working with general union Unite to ensure construction projects under its control provide good conditions for workers.


Mayor Marvin Rees has signed a charter committing to work with the union to achieve “the highest standards” in terms of direct employment status, health and safety, standards of work, apprenticeship training and implementing nationally agreed terms and conditions of employment.
