Lidl and real Living Wage

German-owned supermarket group Lidl is to increase hourly rates for staff from March next year to match voluntary Living Wage rates. Entry-level wages increase from £9 to £9.30 outside of London and £10.55 to £10.75 within the M25. The increase will benefit more than 80% of its 19,000-strong UK workforce.

Retail union Usdaw is continuing its long battle for recognition at Lidl.
