Italy unions sign logistics deal

Italian unions have reached a deal for around a million workers in the logistics industry, ranging from bicycle couriers through local delivery drivers to heavy goods hauliers. The settlement, which came after a strike at the end of March, runs for four years and three months and is backdated to January 2020. It provides for a staged increase of €104 a month, as well as a one-off payment of €230 to cover the period without an increase. It has been signed by all employers’ associations in the sector, making it widely applicable.
