TUC running stakeholder pensions roadshow

starting next month the TUC is running a series of roadshows around the country to help trade unionists and employers get to grips with the implications of stakeholder pensions. While the TUC argues that occupational pension schemes are the best way to provide for retirement it acknowledges that stakeholder pensions will improve the opportunities to save for retirement for around five million workers - around a million of whom are trade union members.

The day-long events will explain what stakeholder pensions are; what unions should be saying to employers about them; how unions can work with employers to choose the best scheme; and more about the TUC's own stakeholder scheme which will start in April next year.

The cost is £25 plus VAT and the first roadshow will take place at Congress Centre in London on 5 June. For further details telephone 020 7636 4030.
