Guidance on lone working

The HSE has published real life case studies for lone and mobile workers facing the threat of violence. The case studies highlight employers' duties to carry out risk assessments and provide training and information for lone workers. Measures such as mobile phones, personal panic alarms and doubling up with colleagues are suggested to help reduce the risk of violence.
