The union effect

The best tool to ensure good health and safety at work is trade unions, the TUC has long argued. And to help reps make the point with management, it has produced a briefing outlining the evidence.

The briefing shows how union involvement reduces work-related injuries and ill health, encourages greater reporting of injuries and near misses, makes workers more confident and develops a more positive safety culture.

Entitled The union effect, the briefing is available at www.tuc.org.uk/h_and_s/tuc-8382-f0.cfm
