Labour Research February 2018

News from LRD

TUC's Kate Bell will be keynote speaker at LRD AGM

As the date for the UK to leave the European Union draws nearer, we face a complex range of social and economic problems.

Kate Bell, head of the economic and social affairs department at the TUC, will be outlining these challenges at this year’s annual general meeting of the Labour Research Department (LRD).

Before joining the TUC, Bell worked as head of policy and public affairs for a local authority; work and pensions adviser to Ed Miliband during his period as leader of the Labour Party; and for the charities Child Poverty Action Group and Gingerbread.

The AGM is on Monday 21 May 2018 at 2.00pm at Jerwood Space, Union Street, London SE1 0LN. All affiliated organisations and individuals are entitled to attend.

The LRD is also inviting nominations for the 16 places on its executive committee (EC) and for the post of honorary treasurer for the period May 2018 to April 2019.

EC nominations should be received by Wednesday 28 February 2018. Further details are available from: Lewis Emery; [email protected].
