UK now less popular for Poles

Only just over one in 20 Poles, thinking about working abroad, currently choose the UK as their preferred destination. This is a drop from one in four three years earlier.

The figures, based on a survey by Polish company Work Service in March this year, show that only 6% of those considering emigration put the UK at the top of the list, compared with 31% opting for Germany and 15% choosing the Netherlands.

In March 2015, 27% chose Germany as their top destination and 26% chose the UK, with the Netherlands much lower at 11%.
