LRD changes
 legal status


The Labour Research Department (LRD) has changed its legal form from an unincorporated association to a company limited by guarantee. 


At a general meeting on 17 September, members agreed to transfer the activities, assets and employees to the new company with effect from 1 October. 


The decision to change was taken at the 2018 annual general meeting. It will provide greater protection to members and affiliates and establish a clearer legal entity for subscribers and suppliers. 


Existing individual members and affiliates have become members and affiliated members of the new company (company number 11429402) and continue to enjoy the same rights and benefits as before.
