Strikes in Spain
Spain’s two main union confederations, CCOO and UGT, have agreed to call for strike action across the country on 8 March as part of their campaign for equality between men and women. The stoppages will last at least two hours with all-day strikes in some sectors.
The action will be the culmination of the unions’ overall campaign for higher salaries and a reversal of the previous government’s employment law changes.
