Polish minimum wage to increase by 7.7%

The Polish government has announced that the national minimum wage will go up by 7.7% from January 2021, taking it to 2,800zł a month (£572). This means that in 2021 it will be equivalent to 53.2% of average earnings. The government took the decision after employers and unions failed to reach agreement. Around 1.75 million workers in Poland are paid the national minimum wage, around 11% of the working population.
