35-hour week

Strike action by 400 signallers at Network Rail in Scotland was suspended last month as the company undertook to implement a 35-hour week agreement. Bob Crow, general secretary of RMT rail union, said that he expected details of rosters to be concluded in line with the UK-wide agreement, which calls for banked hours to be converted into extra rest days, but warned that any further attempt to undermine or renege on the agreement would be met with further strike action.
