From 6 April, the right to request flexible working is being extended to carers under the Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendment) Regulations 2006.
On the same day, the duty on employers to negotiate a formal information and consultation procedure on request will be extended to all undertakings with at least 100 staff, under the Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 2004.
