Physios warn factory workers of RSI risks

Factory workers are three times more likely than managers to get repetitive strain injury (RSI), says the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

RSI affects more than 370,000 people in Britain, with 86,000 new cases last year. But Health and Safety Executive figures show that more than 1% of workers in plant and machine jobs have the condition, compared with just 0.36% of managers.

On RSI Awareness Day (24 February), the CSP said that RSI can usually be prevented or treated with help from an occupational physiotherapist.
