Staged pay deal depends on success

Rubber product manufacturer Vitamol has agreed to a staged pay deal including a potential end-of-year lump sum linked to the success of the business plan. A 1% increase in January will be followed by a further 1% in April provided that business is proceeding as planned.

An extra 1% for January to March will be payable at the end of the year, with a minimum £25 extra bonus added in the Christmas pay week, linked once again to the success of the business. It was also agreed that company sick pay would be payable from the first day of absence in cases of detained hospitalisation (where the employee would otherwise have qualified for payment from the second day), and the company will be looking into the feasibility of an attendance bonus scheme.
