Facebook unions

The forward march of trade union social networking continues apace. First the UK’s largest union, Unite, has launched a Facebook group so members can communicate with people working all over the planet (see November's Labour Research). And now the TUC has launched a Facebook application, My Union, which allows union members to place a union badge on their Facebook profile and to see which unions other friends belong to. The application will also highlight official union Facebook groups.
