National Minimum Wage

An employee dismissed for not increasing her work rate can claim automatically unfair dismissal. The EAT has held that the fact that her employer had increased the work rate after the NMW came into force should be taken into account by the tribunal in deciding whether it was the NMW which had led to the dismissal.
