Five days paternity leave for cotton workers

This year's agreement between the Lancashire Textile Manufacturers' Association and unions representing cotton spinning workers increased entitlement to paid paternity leave from two to five days. With effect from 13 March 2001, the agreement also increased earnings by 2.8% while the minimum earnings level for a 39 hour week rose to £171.60. The daily amount payable under the sick pay agreement rose from £10 to £10.50.
