Millions of working days lost through bullying

around 18 million working days are lost every year because of bullying in the workplace, according to the most comprehensive survey of the problem ever undertaken. It also found that one in 10 workers have been bullied in the last six months.

The three-year study, surveyed 5,300 workers in the public, private and voluntary sectors, and was conducted by the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), supported by the TUC and the CBI.
