Outsourcing win

Eight months of campaigning by PCS civil service union succeeded in stopping the outsourcing of the NHS Business Services Authority, which manages the biggest pension scheme in Europe. The board said the decision was based on consideration of what were the best-value options, which led to the conclusion that the private-sector options were too risky.
