Portuguese workers' leaflet

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), working with the TUC, Citizens Advice Bureaux and Portuguese authorities, has produced an employments rights guide to help some of the estimated 220,000 Portuguese workers in the UK.

The DTI says there is evidence of large numbers of workers being recruited in rural areas of Portugal and coming to the UK without any knowledge of their rights to leave and the National Minimum Wage. The leaflet will be circulated in Portugal as well at the UK.
