Jobless figure rises for second month

Unemployment rose for the second month in succession in November with the claimant count - people out of work and claiming benefit - up by 4,800 to 959,100.

The count based on the ILO definition - the government's preferred measure - rose by 29,000 in the three months to October to 1.52 million.
