HSE revises stress leaflet

Public services union UNISON, has welcomed the decision by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to publish a revised leaflet for employees on work-related stress. This takes on board UNISON's criticisms of the original leaflet. The union argued that rather than helping employees identify and remove the causes of stress, the leaflet encouraged them to consider changing jobs. The union wrote to all branches asking them to ensure that the leaflet was not distributed in their workplace and demanded that it be pulped. Both the TUC and CBI employers' organisation back the new leaflet.
