Election lists

The High Court has held that electors have the right to ask for their names to be removed from the electoral register before it is sold to a commercial company. In a case taken by Wakefield voter Brian Robertson the Court agreed that passing on such information, despite the voter's objection, was a breach of his right to respect for his private and family life under the Human Rights Act.
