Recognition gain

The NUJ journalists' union has won an important ruling at the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) in a claim for recognition. The CAC has accepted that the union's nominated bargaining unit can include casual staff and those on short-term contracts, despite opposition from the employer, the Telegraph Group.
