De Gruchy goes early

The second largest teaching union, NASUWT, is seeking a new general secretary after the surprise announcement that current incumbent Nigel de Gruchy, is to retire a year early.

The successful candidate will take up the post after the union's Easter conference and work alongside de Gruchy for his final year, succeeding him at Easter 2002.
