Workers have no time for a lunch break

Workers have no time for a lunch break, according to a survey commissioned by the public and commercial services union PCS. The research by polling firm ICM found that over half the workforce (57%) take less than 30 minutes for their lunch-break at work. Nearly two-thirds (62%) said they skipped lunch or ate at their desk at least once a week, with one in five saying they did this everyday. The PCS has launched a work-life balance campaign to raise awareness on the long-hours culture.
