Stress in education

The UCU lecturers' union has launched a campaign on stress after a survey found that half of its members say their job makes them ill.

The research found that 52% had considered leaving the profession, while 55% would not recommend the job to their children.

As part of the campaign, the union has launched the College and University Support Network, a charity offering a dedicated national counselling support line (08000 329952) for lecturers and their families.
