Guidance for drivers

Safety charity RoSPA has produced three new publications setting out the law and good practice for driving at work.

Driving for work: Safer speeds policy, Driving for work: Mobile phones and Driving for work: Safe journey planner are written for employers but also contain useful information for safety reps.

The materials complement guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), which says that health and safety law applies to on-the-road work activities and that the risks should be managed within a health and safety system.
